About The Day

Since 2013, Mammoth has been raising funds to support Little Wings with our Annual Charity Drive Day. It is our biggest event of the year, last year raising over $100,000!

Each year Mammoth Projects hires out Pheasant Wood Circuit, in Marulan, for the day. The event begins at 8am and concludes around 4pm AEST.

This event holds specific limitations to vehicles allowed to enter the race, they are:

  • Holden Barina

  • Toyota Echo

  • Hyundai Getz

Each team is encouraged to pick a theme and decorate their car, as well as dress up for the day.

 

Drive Day vehicle rules

  • All vehicles are to undergo a safety and compliance check prior to the event. The car must be in safe and suitable condition for use.

  • Standard seat belts are preferred but harnesses are permitted.

  • All vehicles must be fitted with a driver’s side window net or drive with the windows up.

  • It is encouraged for safety reasons to remove all carpets, linings and spare seats. You must retain the dashboard and driver’s door card.

  • Tyres must be road compliant. No Slicks. Semi slicks are permissible if they are compliant and registered for road use.

  • Please do not install any objects that will protrude from your car. For safety reasons, all decorations will need to be cosmetic and/or removable. Tow bars are to be removed prior to racing.

  • Mechanicals:

    • No engine size to exceed 1.6L.

    • No engine modifications permitted; No turbos, superchargers and AWD etc.

    • You may remove and redirect the air intake.

    • Your car must maintain an exhaust, it can be shortened, and the muffler removed but it must continue past the exterior of the car and beyond the driver’s door. The noise limit for the track is 95db at 30 metres.

    • It is recommended that you service the brakes and clutch. New brake pads and high temp brake fluids are highly recommended for better performance & safety.

    • The suspension can be lowered or stiffened with alternate springs or by shortening the existing springs.

    • Batteries must be safely secured.

 

attendee Requirements on the day:

  • Safety Clothing:

    • Long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed-in shoes must be worn.

    • A helmet when racing (you can rent a helmet on the day if you do not have your own).

    • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, beanie (in case there is a cool wind).

    • A warm jumper/jacket (it gets windy the majority of the time).

  • CAMS Licence:

    • Each driver must have a track licence, if you do not have a CAMS licence you can purchase a track license for the day for $20. Please pre-fill in the form prior to attending for registration on the day.

Throughout the day Mammoth will be selling raffle tickets and the prize will be awarded at the end of the night. All proceeds from the raffle tickets will also contribute to the final amount donated to Little Wings.

After the race concludes we will finalise the auction and raffle items for the day and thank everyone who has supported us in giving back to Little Wings over the years.
